How To Lose Weight Without Painful Exercise |
Even though I work all week every week trying to pass along information on what are the best workout programs and equipment to help people to reach one of the big 3 desired body goals, I totally get that people hate hard exercise and always will.
The easy thing to do would be preach from high that you must be doing some sort of workout program or hitting it hard at the gym to get in shape. While there are tools out there which will greatly improve your outcomes to meet any of the 3 desired body goals (lose weight, get ripped, or add bulk up/add size), if you don't really want to exercise hard, you can actually still reach any of these goals.
Yup, I know it's bad for the business of selling tools and equipment. However, it's the truth. In fact if you hate exercise that brings you to a sweat, you can still get in significantly better shape and nail your weight loss goals and have effortless weight maintenance for life.
Ten Simple Steps to Lose Weight Without Hard Exercise
1. Commit to a nightly sleep range where 90% of your sleep or more takes place between 10:30 pm and 6:30 am. The later you go to sleep beyond 10:30, the less quality your sleep is. The less quality your sleep is, the more likely you will overeat.
2. Stay on your feet for 15 minutes minimum after you eat. You might eat wrong, or you might eat right in a meal, but do it anyway. It helps speed up metabolism and helps with digestion. Sitting down does the opposite.
3. Eat an apple about a hour before your meal. This one also helps speed up your internal fat burning engine and helps you feel fuller quicker.
4. Have an 8 once glass of water before dinner. Again, this one helps you feel fuller faster.
5. Eliminate all bread products from your breakfast diet. No donuts, bagels, waffles, danishes or coffee cake. Notice I didn't say anything about bacon, eggs, sausage. Eat all that you want of those. Same with fruit. It seems like sometimes we get hung up on calories and think we are OK eating a wheat this or low-fat that. Most of this stuff is just empty calories.
6. Slash your processed food intake by 80% with the goal of eventually making it zero. So things like bread or any other flour-based product, canned foods, or frozen prepared meals need to go. Basically when your body eats processed anything, the liver doesn't know exactly what to do with it in the digestive process, so it gets stored as fat. This is especially true of processed sugar.
7. Instead of fast food once or more each week, save the money and go out to two nice restaurants a month and eat whatever you want while there.
8. Have a "no more eating" cut-off time every night. I like 7:30. Here's the wrinkle though: exceptions exist for watery fruit like pears, apples, grapes, melon. So you never really have to go without if you want to eat something. Deprivation= Bad.
9. Stop counting calories. Eat real natural things and as much as you want.
10. Dip don't douse. Pick any sauce or dressing you want for anything you are eating and dip your fork-sized bite into your sauce. You'll be shocked how much difference this makes mostly because it slows down your eating.
